Probe of Ameriquest Sought in Pennsylvania

In a complaint on behalf of six Ameriquest borrowers Community Legal Services Inc. of Philadelphia accused the Orange County-based company of using "bait and switch" tactics to stick borrowers with higher fees rates and payments than promised.

Waterbury puts 29 properties on auction block Officials hope tactic will move tax delinquents

WATERBURY The city’s sluggish delinquent tax collections are poised to get a $300 000 boost. Revenue Collection Manager Mary Nardini said Thursday she has submitted 29 properties to State Marshal Dominic Jannetty to put on the auction block.

One City Hall watcher complained that two politically connected commissioners were able to get city loans but failed to carry out their promises to build affordable housing.
